MOSCOW, July 29. Rescuers have found two adults and two children who went missing after a temporary barrier between the locks of the White Sea-Baltic Canal washed away, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Karelia reported.

"Two more people have been found — one adult and one child. They are alive, rescuers handed them over to medical workers,» the publication says.
Prior to this, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that they had found one adult and one child.
The fate of the two missing remains unknown.
According to the head of Karelia Artur Parfenchikov, at 06:34 in the morning it became known that a temporary sand barrier installed for the duration of the reconstruction between the 10th and 11th locks of the White Sea-Baltic Canal had washed away. The regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that nine people were injured: three, including one child, were rescued, six were missing.
76 rescuers and 19 units of equipment are participating in the search. Air ambulances, forces and means of disaster medicine have been put on alert.
A state of emergency has been declared in the Segezha District of Karelia.
