THAGUEST, July 30 Russian pianist, laureate of various international competitions Eva Gevorgyan performed at the Russian Embassy in the Netherlands on Monday evening, the performance received rave reviews from the guests of the event, the correspondent reports .
At the Russian Embassy in The Hague, the 20-year-old pianist performed works by Robert Schumann, Frederic Chopin and Maurice Ravel. The performance ended with thunderous applause from the audience; guests particularly noted the technique and depth of the young performer's performance in a conversation with the agency. Among those present at the event were, among others, ambassadors of countries friendly to Russia, accredited in The Hague.

The concert was held as part of the next stage of the project «Outstanding Russian Performers in Diplomatic Missions and Cultural Representative Offices of Russia Abroad», implemented by the Foundation for the Support of Classical Musical Art «Muses to the World!».

«This was my first time performing in the Netherlands, in The Hague. And I am very happy that the audience here is so warmly welcoming,» Gevorgyan shared.
She said that she had previously performed in other European cities: in Madrid in March, in Vienna in May, and in Rome in June.
«I was well received in every city. Music is such a universal language that all people understand it on a subconscious level. And this is truly a wonderful project because it unites people,» the young artist noted.
Russian Ambassador to the Netherlands Vladimir Tarabrin told reporters that he was amazed by the level of performance of the pianist, who at 20 years old performs at the level of the world's most famous performers.

«We are very glad that this concert became possible thanks to the Foundation for the Support of Classical Musical Art «Muses to the World!» In this difficult political moment, music should unite,» the diplomat noted.

Tarabrin expressed regret that cultural ties between Russia and the Netherlands are currently in a deplorable state.
«It is not our fault, not our choice, but we are sure that sooner or later these ties will be renewed. Because culture is something that should unite people, not divide them,» the Russian ambassador emphasized.
