MOSCOW, July 30 Unlike foreign experts, Russian experts in the field of standardization have decided to focus on developing standards for its application in the field of artificial intelligence to ensure the safety of such systems, Anton Shalaev.
«In Russia, unlike foreign countries, it is not so much system-wide standards that are being developed, but rather industry-specific standards. What does this mean? In order to implement artificial intelligence technology, the most important thing must be ensured — trust in it,» Shalayev said.
He noted that to ensure such trust, Russia has already developed a fairly large number of standards for assessing the use of artificial intelligence in solving specific problems. Particularly in clinical medicine, automotive transport and education.
«Would you get into a driverless car controlled by artificial intelligence technology, or would you go to medical services that integrate such technologies if no checks have been carried out? Or would you still not put your life at risk?» Shalayev added.
According to him, in recent years about 100 GOSTs have appeared in the field of artificial intelligence, which has made Russia one of the leaders in the number of its own national standards in this area.
In addition, Russian developers were among the first in the world to create a standard for the unit of transmitted and received information and parameters of packet data networks, Shalayev said. This is necessary for the development of the Internet of Things in order to determine with maximum accuracy the capabilities of certain communication network channels and their stability.
