Resident of exploded house in Nizhny Tagil tells about strange inspection: «Gas workers didn't get to me»

A strange inspection took place two days before the emergency

A resident of house 81 on Sibirskaya Street in Nizhny Tagil, where a devastating explosion occurred on Thursday morning, told about a visit from strange people – allegedly representatives of the gas service – a couple of days before the incident.

— My neighbors told me about it, — explained Evgeny. — I was at work at the time, so they didn’t get to me. But they came to some residents and inspected the pipes.

Today, at the time of the explosion, Evgeny was also at work, so he was not hurt.

Details of the incident that occurred half an hour before the explosion also came to light. The same strange gas workers in uniform visited the house at 68 on Vagonostroiteley Avenue for an inspection. It is located just a couple of hundred meters from the house where the explosion occurred. Many residents also did not let the inspectors in, and then one of them angrily hit the gas pipe.

The rubble is still being cleared at the site of the explosion. There are 7 victims, but it is still unknown how many people are under the rubble.
