MOSCOW, August 1 The name «White Gyrfalcon» is written on a model of a high-speed Russian train carriage, which in real life the value will be shown in the center of Moscow, the correspondent reports.
On Thursday, the forum-festival «Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030» opens in the capital of Russia. It is being held at several sites throughout the city. One of them is Manezhnaya Square. There is a full-scale model of a carriage of a high-speed Russian train. There is no free access to it yet, but we managed to see some of the details.

For several years, Russian Railways has been naming its trains after birds: «Sapsan», «Lastochka», «Finist», «Orlan», etc. Trains running on the Moscow Central Diameters (MCD) are called «Ivolga». The participants in the high-speed railway construction project and the train manufacturer have not yet announced the final appearance — outside and inside — or the name of the Russian train for these roads.
The model presented in Moscow is white, light gray and gray on the outside, and the outline of a bird's head is depicted on the side of the body. Inside, the seats are in various configurations. The interior of the cabin is presented in beige, the seats are in the same tones with brown armrests.
A full-size model of a high-speed railcar was shown earlier this summer in Yekaterinburg. The body shapes were identical, but the paint was different.
The Sinara Group will build Russian high-speed trains in cooperation with Transmashholding. The first elements of Russian high-speed trains will begin to be created in 2024, said Sinara Vice President Alexander Misharin.
High-speed trains, said Russian Railways CEO Oleg Belozerov, will have 8 or 16 cars with four service classes and a bistro car with a bar. It is planned that an eight-car train will accommodate up to 460 passengers. The maximum speed of the train will be 400 kilometers per hour, in operation — 360 kilometers per hour.
The assembly of the first prototype of the HSR train is scheduled to begin in 2026. The train should be ready in 2027, and the certificate of conformity is planned to be received in 2028. In total, Sinara will supply 43 such trains for the Moscow-Saint Petersburg HSR by 2030, including the first two for Russian Railways.
A high-speed railway is a specialized electrified double-track railway line for operating trains at speeds from 200 to 400 kilometers per hour. There are no such roads in Russia yet. The pilot project will be the HSR between Moscow and Saint Petersburg. The road will be fully launched in 2028. Travel time will be 2 hours 15 minutes. In general, it is planned to create a HSR network in Russia. Such roads will also require special trains.
