The daughter of the former deputy head of pretrial detention center No. 3 in Nizhny Tagil, Mikhail Kasyanov, and her two friends are listed as missing after the explosion in house 81 on Sibirskaya Street on Thursday afternoon. All three girls (they are 14 years old) had their phones turned off, and according to preliminary information, they were in the apartment at the time of the explosion.

As MK managed to find out, Lieutenant Colonel Kasyanov's family moved into the apartment of his wife's parents more than 10 years ago, but formally registered there only recently. The officer has five children, the eldest daughter lives separately. Not long ago, the couple left a request to the service company GazEKS for the installation of gas meters. The installation operation itself took place on July 25. However, this procedure was preceded by an inspection of the gas equipment, during which it was discovered that in apartment No. 1, where the Kasyanovs lived, the hose had a leak. The family's neighbors especially emphasized that the gas workers were given access to all apartments — otherwise the gas in the riser would have been turned off. This practice exists in Nizhny Tagil and other cities: if the repairmen fail to gain access to the pipes in at least one apartment, the gas supply is cut off in the entire entrance. On July 25, the repairman changed the hose in the apartment and installed the meters. The clients did not notice anything suspicious in his actions, and until yesterday there were no foreign smells similar to gas in the apartment or the entrance. Kasyanov also ruled out the possibility of a gas cylinder or other explosive object being in the apartment.
The day before, the Kasyanovs went to the dacha — all except their 14-year-old daughter. Today at 11:20 she called her parents, explained that two girlfriends had come to visit her and they were going out for a walk. The girls did not contact her again.
