MOSCOW, July 31 The exhibition «Course for Victory» for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the RSFSR from the German invaders, which included about 100 rarities, opened at the Victory Museum, reported on the official website of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

«On July 31, the Victory Museum opened the exhibition «Course for Victory», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the final liberation of the territory of the RSFSR from the German invaders,» the statement said.
The exhibition tells about the preparation, stages and results of the Pskov-Ostrovsk and Vyborg-Petrozavodsk operations.
«The exhibition «Course for Victory» continues the exhibition cycle dedicated to the main military operations of 1944, during which the country was completely liberated from the Nazis. The exhibition includes almost 100 exhibits from the museum's collections. Among them are rarities of the Red Army and Finnish troops, weapons, a mine detector of Soviet sappers, as well as photographs, documents, posters and drawings by military artists,» the statement said.
The central part of the exhibition displays the Red Army officer uniform of the 1940s and materials by correspondent Pavel Luknitsky, a participant in the Vyborg-Petrozavodsk and Pskov-Ostrovsk operations. The materials cover the course of the battles and events in the liberated cities and towns.

A separate section of the exhibition is dedicated to the enemy troops. Visitors can see the uniform, household items and weapons of soldiers of the Finnish army. Among the exhibits are a pistol that belonged to the Finnish pilot E. Luukkanen and parts of an aircraft machine gun found by a search party at the sites of battles in the Karelo-Finnish SSR.
The exhibition is complemented by digitized photographs that capture the moments of the liberation of Vyborg, the crossing of the Svir River and the signing of the armistice agreement with Finland.
The exhibition will be open to visitors until December 31, 2024.
