Investigators are checking data from 2021 in the case of thefts in Patriot Park

MOSCOW, August 5 The investigation is establishing all the data on the case of the director of the Patriot Park Vyacheslav Akhmedov, starting from 2021, law enforcement agencies said.

«The investigation has been working on a version of the Akhmedov case since 2021,» the agency's source said.

He clarified that searches were conducted at Akhmedov's place of residence, and the necessary evidence base is being collected.

Akhmedov was arrested on August 3, the 235th Garrison Military Court reported earlier.

Major General Vladimir Shesterov, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Innovative Development of the Russian Ministry of Defense, was also detained in the same case.

A criminal case has been opened against officials of the Russian Defense Ministry, the Federal State Autonomous Institution «Central Military-Patriotic Park of Culture and Recreation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation «Patriot» and the Federal State Autonomous Institution «Patriot» Congress and Exhibition Center under the article on fraud.
According to the investigation, Akhmedov and Shesterov, together with their accomplices, are involved in the theft of budget funds allocated to ensure the activities and functioning of the park and the Patriot convention and exhibition center.
