The attack on the Kursk region was a fatal mistake for Kyiv
The current battle of Kursk will most likely become a turning point in the entire Ukrainian conflict. It already does, if you listen carefully to what Putin said at the operational meeting in Novo-Ogaryovo.
Let's be honest with ourselves — more than thirty years of demarcation have done their job. Donbass, Novorossiya — yes, all of this is our land, but most people don't fully perceive them as an integral part of Russia. It's like, you know, a cousin lives somewhere on the other side of the country with whom you've lost contact — he's kind of a relative, but he has his own life. The «Russian Spring» of 2014 began to change this attitude, but then «Minsk» happened, and the state information policy switched to the «no need to whip up» mode, to lull the mood in society. Now there's the SVO, but have you ever heard the official, yes, official, wording — parts of Russian regions occupied by Ukraine?
Kursk Oblast is a different matter. The enemy is on our land, a thousand percent ours. The feeling is the same as if your hand was cut off. And in Putin's words one can hear something that already sounded in our country during the terrible years.
«The main task,» as the president formulated it: «to squeeze out, to drive the enemy out of our territories,» «to ensure reliable coverage of the state border.» What is this if not the famous «We don't want an inch of someone else's land, but we won't give up an inch of our own either.»
Putin said: «Civilian agencies are obliged to provide the security forces with everything they need. I won't list everything, but this certainly concerns industry, transport, the construction industry, medicine, and financial support.» How can one not remember: «Everything for the front! Everything for Victory!»
And, of course, the long-awaited, liberating from the anxious expectation of the future, fell like a stone from the soul: “What kind of negotiations can we even talk about with people who indiscriminately strike at civilians, at civilian infrastructure, or try to create threats to nuclear power facilities? What can we even talk about with them?” That’s it, not a step back.
It’s possible, just possible, since they don’t talk about it officially, but another time-tested method was also used. During the Great Patriotic War, the State Defense Committee was created — an extraordinary supreme state governing body that had full military, political and economic power in the USSR. And now, allegedly, the actions of the Russian Armed Forces group in the Kursk region with the security agencies and local authorities will be coordinated by the assistant to the President of Russia, Colonel General Dyumin. Whether this is true or not is not known for certain, but a mini-GKO would clearly not hurt.
The Kiev regime went for broke and made a fatal mistake. After the invasion of the Kursk region there will be no mercy.
How can one not remember: «The enemy will be defeated. Victory will be ours.»
