The road train «Russia is my history» began work in the Kherson region

GENICHESK, August 12 The multimedia road train «Russia — my history» began operating in the Kherson region on Monday. Up to 250 people will be able to visit it daily. The exposition will last until October, the correspondent reports .
Visitors, together with a guide, walk through the exhibits set up in the carriages. Each hall is dedicated to a separate era of Russian history, and in each hall visitors are greeted by an interactive historical character who tells about the corresponding era: Princess Olga, Catherine the Great, designer Sergei Korolev and others. Visitors are offered to take small educational quizzes and watch short educational videos. In total, the train consists of 5 separate themed carriages.

«The exhibition is planned to stay here for two months. Until September, the exhibition will be visited by employees of budgetary institutions of the region, and after September 1, schoolchildren will begin visiting the exhibition every day… I think about 5 thousand schoolchildren (will be able to visit the road train during its stay in the region),» said Artem Lahoysky, Acting Minister of Culture of the Kherson Region.
On the first day of the road train's work, 250 people were invited to see the exhibition — this is the number of visitors per day planned by the administration.

“»We see these young people with sparkling eyes. They thank us for inviting them to visit the exhibition… Separately, I would like to note the great success of the content: how history was combined with career guidance stands. A person is imbued with the truth about his country, history of the country. (He) can also see how he can apply himself in the future,” said the Minister of Youth Policy of the Kherson Region Igor Astranin.
The basis of the road train exposition is the exhibition bestsellers «Rurikovichi» and «Romanovs». Experienced guides tell visitors about the rich 1000-year history of Russia using multimedia and interactive show formats. Touchscreen panels, wide-format video lecture hall, digital reconstructions allow you to immerse yourself in the history of Russia and feel like a part of it.

«»History is not with textbooks with dates and numbers, but when Catherine or Peter, Princess Olga talks to you, of course, it is perceived differently,» said the deputy head of the content part of the multimedia road train «Russia — My History» by Evgeny Arnakov.
The «Russia — My History» road train was created based on the expositions of the Patriarchal Council for Culture on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin by the Humanitarian Projects Foundation with the support of the Russian Ministry of Education.
