Colonel Matviychuk: «Russia is striking the «festering tumor» of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Sumy Oblast»
The Russian army has concentrated its efforts on missile and bomb strikes against those reserves of the Ukrainian Armed Forces that are concentrated in Sumy and Sumy Oblast. According to reports from the field, panic is already reigning there: every day, helicopters at low altitude are evacuating NATO officers who have come under our fire, and for those who were not saved, cars with refrigerated chambers are being searched for all over the city… The other day, a bunker with NATO officers who were coordinating the battles in Kursk Oblast was destroyed there. There was no need to climb in.
Military expert, retired colonel Anatoly Matviychuk told MK what the city of Sumy is, what forces are concentrated there and why our Aerospace Forces are paying so much attention to it right now.
The Russian army is not only dislodging the enemy, who has taken up positions in the forests of the Kursk region, but is also delivering deadly blows to Sumy. Thus, on Friday, details of one of these strikes, which hit the Sumy Biological Plant on August 11, emerged. According to some reports, an underground bunker was set up there, in which militants from the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of Ukraine and the command of the 117th territorial defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hiding. According to preliminary data, as a result of the strike, about 40 senior and mid-level officers were killed.
According to experts, this strike was catastrophic for the enemy due to the lack of officers in the headquarters. Senior militants are being protected and hidden in such shelters until our intelligence knows the coordinates.
Ukrainian information resources report that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have a large number of wounded throughout the border zone who cannot be evacuated. Mercenaries and senior officers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are evacuated by helicopters. Our air defense cannot reach them, since they fly at an altitude of 8-10 meters and sometimes lower.
The bodies of dead soldiers, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces command does not feel sorry for, are usually taken out in vehicles with refrigerated chambers, which, by the way, are in dire shortage. Thus, in Sumy, advertisements are increasingly appearing asking for owners of vehicles with refrigerated chambers for transporting corpses.
In addition to cars with refrigerators, military observers report, blood, water, electricity, gas and so on are needed. The deficit was formed after the powerful bomb and missile strikes of the Russian Aerospace Forces on Sumy.
According to military expert Anatoly Matviychuk, the most important task of our troops in the current situation is not just to push the enemy out of our territory, but to inflict such damage on him that he would never dare to invade our sovereign territory again in his recent history.
— What is Sumy? It is a rear city of Ukraine, where no military actions were conducted. We did not even carry out any sabotage actions there. It was a peaceful city, which suddenly became a frontline city, and it unexpectedly turned out to be full of various kinds of enemy reserves, which were withdrawn from the Belarusian border.
In Sumy there were training camps and training grounds, warehouses, which provided for the group that invaded the Kursk region. The entire command of this group was gathered there, in Sumy.
Currently, according to some sources, there are 10,000 to 12,000 enemy soldiers on Russian territory. And up to four thousand are in Sumy, not counting the command. I believe that there is a branch of the NATO combat control center there. It was placed there because I assess the operation in the Kursk region as a joint operation of NATO and Ukraine against Russia.
Today, Sumy is a purulent tumor from which all the infection is spreading to our border.
According to the military expert, our main task is to completely deprive the Ukrainian Armed Forces group that entered Russian territory of its combat capability, namely: reserves, material replenishment, ammunition and, most importantly, fuel and lubricants.
— This is what we are doing now. Our forces and special intelligence assets are involved, we are conducting sabotage operations in the Sumy region, blocking all possible supply routes and movement of columns. In addition, by decisive actions at the front, we destroy the invading group, depriving it of the ability to maneuver and depriving it of combat capability.
