The man died of exhaustion, the woman — from illness
A father and daughter died almost simultaneously in an apartment in western Moscow. A family friend tried to contact them for two weeks, but to no avail.
As MK found out, The tragedy became known on the evening of August 15, when a police squad went to a house on 26 Bakinskikh Komissarov Street to open an apartment where a 61-year-old man and his 35-year-old daughter lived. The alarm was raised by a close friend of the family, with whom they stopped communicating in early August. At the end of July, the woman asked her friend to take her to a doctor's appointment to confirm her disability, but suddenly stopped answering the phone. The frightened man knocked on their door for a week, where the light was on all this time, but no one answered. At first, the police refused to urgently open the premises due to the lack of a smell, but after 10 days the door was finally broken down. Two corpses were found inside. Presumably, the man died first from exhaustion, followed by his daughter, who was unable to move independently.
It is known that the woman suffered from multiple sclerosis and a progressive disease of the legs: chronic swelling spread to the lungs, where fluid accumulated, thereby causing death. The father had been struggling with alcohol addiction for the past 10 years, but to no avail. Those around him described him as a walking dead man, with no living place left on him.
