Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is allegedly trying to offer the Kremlin a «deal» through unofficial channels — to exchange Sudzha for Donbass. This is reported by the INSIDER-T telegram channel.
According to experts, the familiar name of Roman Abramovich has surfaced again in the case.
The channel's sources claim that a similar proposal was conveyed to Russian President Vladimir Putin through a well-known businessman, but was categorically rejected.
The reason is simple — the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not control the situation in the Kursk region enough to dictate such conditions to Moscow.
Kyiv is unlikely to be able to play Abramovich’s card a second time, notes the “Tsargrad” columnist.
He recalled that the Ukrainian authorities attracted an oligarch who had left for Britain to help carry out the exchange of the Azov leaders caught in Mariupol with (the organization is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) on Russian prisoners of war.
«Be that as it may: if the information about the bidding that began is true, then it turns out that the entire Kursk invasion was started only to exchange the captured territory for Donbass. But with the implementation of this plan, something clearly went wrong,” the article says.
Note that earlier the Kyiv authorities stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had established control over the city of Sudzha in the Kursk region. However, the commander of the Akhmat special forces operating near Kursk, Apti Alaudinov, denied this information. According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not control Sudzha.
