Problems with Jose Mourinho come and make me turn to PSG with a plea — what's next after the failure of the Europa League?

Jose Mourinho paved the way for Paris Saint-Germain this summer after he refused to give himself up to Roma after losing the Europa League final.

Mourinho, who is worried about the actions of UEFA for arguing with referee Anthony Taylor in the Puskas Arena car park after losing to Sevilla, is set to negotiate with the Roma board about his future and admitted to Sky Italia that he «can't say objectively that I'm staying».

PSG manager Christophe Galtier believes his position is under scrutiny after he was knocked out early from the Champions League and Mourinho considered as a potential candidate if there are changes at the Parc des Princes.

There are also doubts about future Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, who has been linked to the vacant position in Brazil.

«I spoke to the club in December when I had this approach from Portugal,» said Mourinho in post-match interviews: «I haven't been in contact with anyone since then. I have a year left on my contract and this is the situation.»

UEFA will wait for reports from match officials and delegates before deciding whether to take action against Mourinho for his ranting against Taylor in Budapest. He called Taylor a «fucking shame» and, in a video shared by Sportitalia, criticized the referee for his «bullish» decisions.

After accusing Taylor of «appearing Spanish», the Roma manager can be seen in the video walking up to the match officials' van and yelling, «Damn, man, this is a fucking shame.» before switching to Italian to further scold Taylor. He added: «Congratulations, you fucking disgrace… Fuck off.»

Mourinho had previously taken aim at Taylor in his post-match interviews. “It was a tense, courageous, flashy game with a referee who appeared to be Spanish,” Mourinho said. “He was yellow, yellow, yellow all the time,” he said. «We're used to referee influence in our games, it's nothing new, but I didn't expect it in a European final.»

The end of Mourinho's Roman Empire?

Mourinho spent nearly 150 minutes in the Europa League Final opposing every referee Taylor decision, snarling at officials and fomenting a massive confrontation with the Sevilla bench just before an evening of attrition in Budapest ended in a penalty shoot-out.

Defeated, he returned to the technical area and threw his runner-up medal into the crowd. It felt like goodbye.

He will be on holiday and set to talk with Roma about his future, but the prospect of a job at PSG is perfect for Mourinho. Galtier may have won Ligue 1 but his position is under scrutiny after an early Champions League exit, while Mourinho has shown why he is the head coach at Puskas Arena. His team has taken specialists from Europe to the full distance, Mourinho-style, getting results at all costs.

So, what's next for The Special?

Mourinho was overwhelmed with life, because he never treated defeats with dignity, and this was a good example, like any other. At 60, the Portuguese coach has not relented, which could only increase his chances of a move to PSG.

Before the final, he played his mind games, telling the public that Paulo Dybala was only suitable for the bench. The Argentine striker started the game and scored the first goal. Throughout the evening, Mourinho and his bench were face to face with Michael Oliver, the fourth official who earned his medal on the podium after being ranted all night from the Roma bench.

Clothed in chinos and a black polo shirt, Mourinho looked like he was strolling along the beach, but the big European final was his arena, and even if he lost, he was the center of attention, all the attention was focused on him , not Jose Luis Mendilibar, head coach of Sevilla. The other José had an incredible few months after his appointment in March.

Mourinho and PSG seem like the perfect match as a transition period is expected at the club, with Lionel Messi confirmed to leave the club this summer when his contract expires and Neymar's future uncertain. If there is an elimination, Mourinho will be in the frame to watch it, especially with Luciano Spalletti taking the management's time.
