American electric vehicle startup Faraday Future has announced prices for its first model, the ultra-luxury crossover FF 91 with a power plant with a capacity of over 1000 hp .With. The top version of the FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance costs $309,000 and is limited to only 300 copies.
The American startup Faraday Future was founded in 2014 by the infamous Chinese entrepreneur Jia Yueting. Infamous because Faraday Future is far from his only company, others just went bankrupt, Jia Yueting himself survived bankruptcy proceedings, and Faraday Future is still alive, but is suffering from a chronic lack of funding. The startup showed the prototype of the FF 91 crossover at the beginning of 2017, the start of its production was postponed several times, and in March of this year, the company finally reported on the start of assembly of the long-awaited new product at its plant in Hanford (USA, California).
Pricing and final specs for the Faraday Future FF 91 have been announced this week. Attached to the press release is a long description of the 6×4 aiHyper Technology 2.0 architecture that the FF 91 is allegedly converted to by the time it hits the market. The 6×4 numbers mean the integration of six technological platforms and four technological systems into the new architecture, and all of them are also tied to artificial intelligence — all this is the usual marketing verbiage, designed to create the impression that the product is out of the ordinary and worth its huge money.

At the moment, two versions of the crossover are available for order — the limited FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance for $309,000 and the regular FF 91 2.0 Futurist for $249,000. In technical terms, they are identical, but the version with the prefix Alliance has a special finish, a commemorative plate with the signatures of startup leaders, and other “gifts”. In addition, for $14,900 per year, there is a subscription to FF aiHypercar+ personalized digital services that make the car even more exclusive. All in all, the Faraday Future FF 91 is positioned as a product that nothing less than «could destroy traditional luxury brands such as Ferrari, Maybach, Rolls-Royce and Bentley.»
