Family American tuning studio RENNtech takes new heights with the introduction of the most powerful Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, designed for public roads.
The RENNtech atelier was founded in 1989 by Hartmut Feil, who previously worked at AMG and gained experience in forcing engines there — this is what RENNtech is famous for today, and it refines not only Mercedes, but also cars of other European brands, but Mercedes are still in the spotlight and the coolest RENNtech projects carry a three-pointed star. Last year, for example, specialists from Florida made the «world's most advanced» W140 generation Mercedes-Benz 600 SEL, and this week the RIIIx project based on the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 sports liftback is presented.

RENNtech achieves much more power without a hybrid add-on and raises the output of the M177 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine to 1213 hp. and 1257 Nm (in stock it produces no more than 639 hp and 900 Nm) — however, such indicators are available only on fuel with an anti-knock index of 100 (read about what an anti-knock index is in our separate material), and if pour conventional fuel with an anti-knock index of 93 (in our opinion it is AI-98), then the return will be 977 hp. and 1147 Nm, which is also good.

A significant increase in the performance of the M177 engine, RENNtech is finishing off with the help of new, larger turbochargers of its own design on bearings with reduced rolling resistance, an upgraded intercooler, new fuel injectors, a new intake system with a carbon fiber receiver, a new exhaust system from stainless steel and a new control program, moreover not only the engine is being reprogrammed, but also the Mercedes 9-speed automatic AMG Speedshift. The RIIIx accelerates to 60 mph (96.56 km/h) in 2.44 seconds, a quarter mile (402 m) in less than 10 seconds.

Exterior upgrade aims to improve aerodynamics and give the car a more aggressive look as well, including a new front splitter, side canards, side skirts, a new rear diffuser and a new adjustable rear wing , all elements are made of carbon fiber. Complementing the look are RENNtech and RIIIx logos, contrasting color graphics and RENNtech RPS 10.2 forged wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires in 275/35 ZR 21 front and 335/25 ZR 22 rear. Refined brake mechanisms are clearly visible between the openwork spokes of the wheels.
RENNtech Mercedes-AMG GT 63 RIIIx costs $94,980 without taking into account the price of the original car.
