This «two-door» of the German brand will appear in dealerships in the European market in mid-2024.
The two-door Mercedes-AMG GT with the factory index C190 appeared in the fall of 2014. The model replaced the SLS AMG coupe (produced from 2010 to 2014) and became the second car developed by the AMG division. The photos of the partially camouflaged prototype were shared with us by the Spanish publication Motor.es. Judging by these images, the new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé has large “slanted” headlights, the corners of which stretch towards the front fenders. It is assumed that the optics will have a new light pattern. The “two-door” also has a large Panamericana radiator grille with a large logo in the form of a three-pointed star in the center. Several air intakes are integrated into the lower part of the front bumper.
The sidewalls are adorned with carbon-ceramic brakes, which are “hidden” behind 20-inch alloy wheels. The stern received horizontally arranged narrow taillights, and the exhaust system, obviously, will still be “brought to mind”. jpg» />Photo spies also filmed the interior of the next-generation Mercedes-AMG GT prototype, although its front panel and center console are still hidden with thick fabric. Based on earlier photos, the new coupe will have a virtual instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system in the center console, sports seats and a truncated steering wheel with buttons for selecting driving mode and changing chassis settings.
1/2 2/2The pictures clearly show stickers indicating that the tested prototype is a hybrid, and you can also see the cover behind which there is a port for charging the battery. The second-generation coupe will be a plug-in hybrid: according to preliminary data, the performance of the Mercedes-AMG GT 53 E Performance Coupe will be equipped with a hybrid power plant, which will be based on a 3.0-liter in-line “turbo-six” gasoline that works in tandem with an electric motor located at the rear. axes. It is expected that the model will have a 4Matic all-wheel drive system, and the total system output will be about 680 hp. The range on a single charge when driving in purely electric mode will be approximately 20 km. late last year, designer Kolesa.ru presented what the next generation Mercedes-AMG GT might look like. It is assumed that the most noticeable change in the appearance of new items will be its proportions; they will change from the current AMG GT, which has a very long bonnet and a rearward-facing interior.
The Spanish publication noted that the new two-door will hit dealerships in the European market in mid-2024 of the year. The prices of the «second» Mercedes-AMG GT will be announced later.
