The debut of the French brand's new SUV is scheduled for September 2023, and production, according to the plan, should begin before the end of this year.
Peugeot 3008 joined the lineup of the French brand in 2008, and in 2016 the compact SUV changed its generation. The model reached the planned restyling in 2020, and now the manufacturer continues to develop a third-generation crossover. So far, the future novelty continues road tests: once again, the 3008 prototype was caught on public roads in southern Europe.

The prototype Peugeot 3008 of the next generation is still hidden behind a very dense layer of camouflage film: the head optics and taillights are only slightly visible. Previously, the company announced that the novelty will be «cross-fastback», that is, apparently, it will have a coupe-like body.
It is assumed that the crossover will have narrower headlights than the current 3008. They could be patterned with three LED strips and are likely to be complemented by three thin parallel lines (called «talons») of running lights on each side. According to the render that we published earlier, the central part of the radiator grille received a pattern of thin horizontal lines with larger strokes, and there are “blind” inserts on the sides.
Spy shots of the new Peugeot 3008 confirm that the SUV will have a visually split air intake at the bottom of the front bumper. It is expected that the crossover can get black roof pillars, the same color of the side mirror housings, traditional door handles and a body kit around the perimeter of the body made of unpainted plastic. Another future model will be decorated with a logo of a new sample — in the form of a lion's head.

The company officially declassified the interior of the third generation Peugeot 3008 last week. The crossover received a Panoramic i-Cockpit with a single curved display that rises above the front panel, its diagonal is 21 inches. There is no official information about the technology of the new «3008th» yet. According to preliminary data, the model in the European market will be offered with a 1.2 PureTech gasoline engine, which will work as part of a “mild hybrid” power plant. It is also expected that this crossover will have a PHEV variant in the range, which will have a pure electric range of about 100 km. In addition, the all-electric version, the e-3008, is likely to have versions with both a single electric motor on the front axle and a twin-motor setup.
