The Italian marque is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its all-wheel-drive hatchback with only 1,983 copies to be produced.
The Fiat brand is currently owned by the auto giant Stellantis. It has been producing the third-generation Panda subcompact hatchback since 2011, while this model experienced the last restyling in 2020. According to company estimates, for almost 40 years, the all-wheel drive version with the addition of 4×4 to the name has sold a total circulation of about 800 thousand units (this modification accounted for 10% of all sales of the model). Earlier it became known that this modification of the hatchback temporarily left the pipeline.

As Kolesa.ru reported at the end of last year, Fiat had to remove the Panda 4×4 with a rear PTO from the price lists last summer and autumn, as the manufacturer faced a shortage of components, as a result of the queue for this (one of the most affordable in Europe) cars stretched for 8-10 months. The starting price for a base 4WD Panda before the suspension was approximately €17,000.
Then it became known that the model will return to the assembly line of the plant in Pomigliano, Italy in 2023. Now Stellantis has officially announced the return of the subcompact five-door with all-wheel drive: however, so far we are talking only about the release of the limited edition Panda 4×40 °. Fiat said that the circulation of the party will be a total of 1983 copies. The number is not chosen by chance, it corresponds to the year of the first generation model.
The special version of the Fiat Panda 4×40° can be recognized by the ivory color that was chosen for the body color, it was complemented by black inserts made of unpainted plastic. The anniversary edition also received black exterior mirror housings and 15-inch two-tone wheels. As bright accents, a pair of red towing loops are used in the lower part of the front bumper and the name of the special version echoing them on the sidewalls; there is also a 4×40° badge on the C-pillar.
