Toyota GR Corolla debuted last spring and has already become a fetish among petrolheads and fans of honest, analog mechanics. Engineers at Toyota's Gazoo Racing (TGR) motorsports division believe there is no limit to perfection and have made targeted design changes to the GR Corolla Circuit Edition for the 2024 model year.
The Circuit Edition is the coolest regular version of the Toyota GR Corolla with advanced aerodynamic plumage, a leaky hood, a forged carbon fiber roof and Torsen self-locking cross-axle differentials. In the range there is an even more sophisticated version of the Morizo Edition (named after the president of Toyota, Akio Toyoda, also known under the racing pseudonym Morizo) without a rear seat and a number of other unique features, but it is limited — the circulation for the US market, for example, was only 200 instances.
For the new model year, the Toyota GR Corolla Circuit Edition received an optimized shape of the air channels between the front bumper and front fenders, and aerodynamic aluminum sheets were added in the area of the wheel arches, giving the car additional stability. The steering gear and rear suspension are now attached to the subframes with stronger bolts. 235/40 R 18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires sit on lighter standard BBS forged wheels. In addition, JBL Premium Audio with eight speakers has been added as standard, and Blue Flame has been added to the body color palette, as in the car in the photos.

A multi-plate clutch takes power to the rear wheels, it always works with preload, that is, the GR Corolla has all-wheel drive in any driving mode.

The chassis of the GR Corolla has little in common with that of a conventional Corolla hatchback: the track is widened, original springs and shock absorbers are installed, stiffer anti-roll bars and more powerful brakes, the body is comprehensively reinforced. The hot hatch accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (96.56 km/h) in 4.99 seconds, with a top speed limited to 230 km/h.

The next model year Toyota GR Corolla Circuit Edition will hit US dealers this coming winter at a price not yet announced. A similar 2023 hot hatch starts at $42,900 in the US, the base Toyota GR Corolla Pure starts at $35,900, and the limited Morizo Edition starts at $49,900
