The flagship Czech liftback is gearing up for a generational change, and test samples are increasingly getting caught by photo spies during testing. What will the novelty look like?
The Superb model was first added to the Skoda range in 2001. It was built on the Volkswagen Group B5 (PL45+) platform, which was also used by the stretched Volkswagen Passat Lingyu sedan designed for the Chinese market. Today, the third generation Superba is on the market, which was demonstrated at the beginning of 2015 at a special event in Prague. In the spring of 2019, the car received a restyling, and now a new generation is being prepared at the finish line. Previously, the company has already published teasers of the novelty, we have also already done renderings of the new station wagon, and now it is the turn of the liftback.

As seen in the teasers and photos of test samples, the new Superb will receive evolutionary changes in design. The front part with a massive radiator grill is designed in the style of the new Octavia and the Enyaq electric car. At the same time, in general, the design will become a little more plastic compared to the current model due to stampings on the sidewalls and rounded protrusions above the rear wheel arches. Notable differences include the door handles, located along the stamping, and not under them, and new mirrors on the legs. As for the rear, the new Superb is also very similar to the latest generation Octavia, and the chrome molding along the trunk lid will become a hallmark of the flagship model. .jpg» />Render of the new Superb
The new Skoda Superb will retain petrol and diesel engines, and will also receive hybrid modifications — both «soft» and rechargeable PHEV, which the current model also has. In the interior, it is fashionable to expect the appearance of a large screen of the multimedia system, which will be installed on top of the front panel (the current Superba has it built-in).

The premiere of the novelty will take place this fall.
Meanwhile, the flagship crossover will also be shown along with the Superb Kodiaq new generation.
