The Volkswagen sub-brand's two related all-electric all-terrain vehicles will begin production towards the end of 2026.
Volkswagen has been considering bringing its pickup truck to the American market for quite some time. As a result, the manufacturer decided to take a slightly different path: in May last year, an official announcement appeared about plans to revive the Scout brand. As it became known earlier, under this brand, the production of electric SUVs and pickups, intended primarily for the American market, will be launched in the future.

During the official announcement, the company last year published sketches of the future Scout SUV and pickup truck. In addition, the official website of the sub-brand appeared in autumn, where the first SUV teaser was published. Now the manufacturer has shown another sketch showing the new «green» all-terrain vehicles.

The image (unfortunately, not of very high quality) was included in the official presentation of Volkswagen Capital Markets Day. The sketch is believed to show Scout pickup and SUV concepts that will likely debut next year. The sketch was posted on the Scout EV Forum. It is worth noting that, according to the presentation, in the TOP-10 of the most priority projects for VW, the Scout brand is in fourth place. jpg» />Teaser SUV Scout
As in the early sketches of new products, you can see the “squared silhouette”, and now you can try to make out the front of the pickup truck (most likely, it will be identical to the SUV). Judging by the pictures, all-terrain vehicles will receive plastic design elements on both bumpers, as well as on wheel arches, and head optics will probably visually merge with the illuminated plug located in place of the radiator grille.

It can be seen that the pickup truck has a full-fledged two-row cab, black front and center pillars, possibly a glass roof, as well as a fairly roomy cargo compartment. Judging by the sketch, the future concept pickup and SUV will receive cameras instead of exterior mirrors.
It is still difficult to say with certainty what a pair of production sub-brand all-terrain vehicles will look like. It is possible that they will receive a simple body shape, which is partly a reference to the International Harvester Scout models that were produced at the Indiana plant from 1960 to 1980.
New plant project in South Carolina
According to the Volkswagen Group's plan, the production of new electric trucks and SUVs will begin towards the end of 2026. The production of cars is planned to be established at the facilities of a new enterprise located in South Carolina (USA). The company has invested $2 billion in the creation of this site; production capacity will be designed to produce more than 200 thousand copies per year.
