The novelty of the British brand is based on the Ineos Grenadier SUV. The premiere will take place in July as part of the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Ineos Automotive appeared in 2017: its founder Jim Ratcliffe originally planned to buy from JLR the rights to release the “old” classic Land Rover Defender, which was discontinued in 2016, but he was refused. As a result, he decided to develop a new SUV “based on” Defender, and the firstborn of a young British brand, Grenadier, appeared. The exterior was declassified in the summer of 2020, the interior a year later.

Then in companies said that a pickup truck based on this SUV will appear next. Now there is an official announcement, presentation date and the first teaser. So, the brutal truck, which will be called Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster, will be presented on July 13 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
In the teaser, only the stern of the pickup truck was lit up: you can see the branded round taillights with a luminous outline, designed in the same style as that of the SUV. The Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster also received a relief cover that locks the cargo platform, the name of the model family is written on it in large letters. The list of changes also includes the location of the «spare wheel»: if the SUV has it on the tailgate, then the pickup has a spare wheel inside the cargo compartment.

The front end of the car with the addition of Quartermaster will obviously be no different from the Ineos Grenadier SUV: judging by previously published spy shots of the test prototype, the cars will be identical right down to the C-pillars. At the same time, the pickup truck will have an increased wheelbase (the distance between the axles of the firstborn of the brand is 2993 mm) and there will be a larger rear overhang. .jpg» />In the photo: salon Ineos Grenadier
There is no official information about the technology of the future pickup truck, but most likely it will be the same as that of the SUV. Recall that the engines for the Ineos Grenadier are supplied by BMW, we are talking about in-line 3.0-liter six-cylinder engines that are paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic. The output of the B57 turbodiesel is 249 hp, and the maximum torque is 550 Nm; for the B58 gasoline engine, these figures are 286 hp. and 450 Nm. In the first case, the SUV takes 9.9 seconds to accelerate from standstill to “hundreds”, in the second — 8.6 seconds. The maximum speed (regardless of filling) is limited to 160 km/h. In addition, it is known that the Ineos Grenadier FCEV hydrogen SUV prototype will be presented at the Goodwood Festival of Speed: this prototype is designed to demonstrate the latest technologies for using hydrogen fuel cells.
As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, in the future, fully electric and hydrogen versions may also appear in the Ineos Grenadier SUV, the transition to a “green” power plant will allow the production of a short-wheelbase modification of a three-door SUV. True, at the beginning of this year, information appeared that the hydrogen-powered Grenadier was put on hold.
