The Chinese brand's all-electric four-door is expected to be introduced next year.
The Baojun brand is the result of a partnership between the American concern General Motors and China's SAIC. It was created in 2011, the cars were intended for the “celestial” market. At first, cheap passenger models were stamped under this brand, but then the manufacturers decided to aim at the “richer” segments. Over time, the once high demand noticeably subsided, as a result, the company decided on a large-scale transformation of its line.
Rejuvenation Trilogy Plan
During the revision of the strategy under the Baojun brand, it was decided to produce affordable electric trains. The first-born of the new line was the Baojun Yep subcompact crossover, which received an exterior design in the style of Suzuki Jimny. The second model was the «green» microvan Baojun Yunduo with a streamlined body, two-story head optics, a protruding bumper and retractable door handles. In this photo, for the first time, a model was lit up, which in the relatively near future (probably in 2024) will complement the new, transformed line of the brand.
The role of the novelty will be performed by the flagship Baojun EQ200 sedan (it is on the right in the general picture). It is worth noting that the German brand Mercedes-Benz already calls its electric vehicles with the letters “EQ”. It is possible that later the Chinese four-door will receive a different name, without alphanumeric indices.
It is not yet clear what stage of development the EQ200 is in. Probably, the plan shows the concept of a future novelty. Judging by the sketch, the electric car will receive a futuristic design with a pointed “nose” with “T” shape illumination, angular decorative elements, vertical head optics, a large air intake divided into two in the lower part of the front bumper, cameras instead of side mirrors and a sloping embossed hood.

Baojun also announced production plans for the new line. So, the Yep subcompact crossover will roll off the assembly line with an annual circulation of about 50 thousand copies. The Yunduo microvan will have about 150,000 units per year. And the manufacturer plans to produce the future flagship sedan Baojun EQ200 annually in the amount of about 100 thousand units.

There is no official information about the «stuffing» yet. According to preliminary data, the EQ200 can get a twin-engine power plant (one electric motor on each axle). It is possible that the power reserve on a single charge for such a model will exceed 600 km, and the acceleration time from standstill to “hundreds” will be approximately 5 seconds. e by the CLTC cycle). In turn, Yunduo received a 136-horsepower electric motor. It is assumed that the novelty will have two battery options to choose from (with a capacity of 37.9 and 50.6 kWh); range without recharging in this case can be 360 and 460 km, respectively.
