According to data published by the research company JATO Dynamic, the Tesla Model Y crossover became the best-selling model in Europe in the first half of this year. It is noteworthy that Dacia Sandero — the exact opposite of an electric car.
It is noted that such a location of cars in the rating of popularity shows the difference in incomes of the population of different European countries. So, for example, in France the difference between these machines is 37 000 euro. At the same time, in Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands, Model Y became the market leader.
It is noteworthy that in Norway the demand for electric crossover is incredibly high — it accounts for up to 25% of sales. Thus, Tesla Model Y in in the first half of the year was sold out in 136 564 cars, Dacia Sandero — 123 408 units, and Volkswagen T-Roc — 111 692 cars. Rounding out the top five are Peugeot 208 and Opel Corsa.
