The Exeed Exlantix sedan promised to Russia: details about the production version

At home, for a large electric four-door, there will be two options for front design, rear or four-wheel drive. This model will most likely reach the Russian Federation next year.

In the spring, the premium brand Exeed, owned by Chery, announced a line created specifically for electrified models: in China it is Sterra, and for foreign markets, including Russia, they came up with the name Exlantix. At the first stage, the new series will include two «trains» — a sedan and a crossover, they are planned to be sold at home as Sterra ES and Sterra ET (export versions are still known under the indices E03 and E0Y, respectively). The public premiere of pre-production samples was celebrated in April at the Shanghai Motor Show. And now, photos and main characteristics of the four-door Exeed Sterra/Exlantix commodity four-door have appeared in the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry.

Judging by the pictures, outwardly the conveyor electric sedan almost completely repeated the car shown at the exhibition. Design features — a coupe-like silhouette, narrow headlights, taillights made in the form of a single die, mirrors on separate legs, retractable door handles and a retractable spoiler on the trunk lid. They also retained the main feature — pixel information boards located under the head optics (on the exhibition sample they could display, for example, the temperature outside). Probably, the scoreboard will be offered for a surcharge, while the base sedan has black glossy inserts in their place. The model also has a lidar.

The Exeed Sterra ES is 4945 mm long, 1978 mm wide, 1467 to 1489 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 3000 mm. That is, in terms of its dimensions, the “Chinese” is close to the global new BMW 5 Series sedan (and its i5 electric version). The four-door Exeed comes with 19-, 20-, or 21-inch wheels.

The certification body did not publish a photo of the interior. Most likely, inside the product model will also copy the electric car presented in the spring, that is, we are waiting for a two-spoke steering wheel, a two-story central tunnel, a narrow tidy screen, a projection display and a large touchscreen of the multimedia system.

The Exeed Sterra ES is based on the new E0X platform with an 800-volt electrical system, air suspension and a fully controlled chassis. At home, the model will have several versions: rear-wheel drive with a capacity of 252 or 313 hp. and all-wheel drive with a total output of 480 hp. It is assumed that the top-end version will be able to reach the first “hundred” in 3 seconds, and the range of such a sedan will supposedly be 700 km.

In China, sales of the Exeed Sterra ES will start in the fourth quarter of this year, likely to enter the home market as early as 2024. And, most likely, next year the Exeed Exlantix series will appear in Russia.
