As part of the car week in Monterey (USA, California), the Italian company Automobili Pininfarina introduced the B95 two-seater electric supercar: it does not has roofs, and instead of a full-fledged windshield, individual height-adjustable wind protection visors are installed here.
Last week, Automobili Pininfarina (a subsidiary of the Pininfarina design studio) introduced the Pura Vision concept crossover and promised a production model in the same style soon — it turned out to be the B95 barchetta. A barchetta is, by definition, a roofless sports or racing car with a truncated or completely missing windshield. Riding a B95 requires a fair amount of courage and strong helmets, especially considering what wild power is hidden behind the elegant lines of the body.

The novelty index stands for simply: B is for Barchetta , and the number 95 indicates the 95th anniversary of the Pininfarina studio, which will be celebrated in 2025, at the same time deliveries of the Pininfarina B95 to customers will begin. Customers have probably already been identified as Pininfarina will only make 10 B95s.
Pininfarina B95 is not a completely original model, but a derivative of the Battista supercar, developed, as you know, in collaboration with the Croatian company Rimac. The Barchetta inherited from Battista a carbon fiber monocoque, chassis, many interior elements and a four-engine power plant, the maximum combined output of which is 1900 hp. and 2300 Nm.
Meanwhile, all the outer body panels of the barchetta are completely new, they are made of carbon fiber. Behind the seats of the pilot and the only passenger, individual fairings with integrated safety arcs and luggage cases inside are installed, but there is no power protection in front — only two flimsy-looking plastic visors directing air over the heads of riders. The position of these visors is electrically adjustable, as with many modern touring bikes. Pininfarina says these visors are inspired by vintage fighter jets.

The interior of the Pininfarina B95 is much the same as the Battista, but with a slightly cleaner front fascia, redesigned door cards and new seats, the upper part of which, on the demo, has old-school-looking checkered textile upholstery. Other examples may have a completely different color scheme, each client will determine it for himself.

Up to 100 km/h, the barchetta accelerates in less than 2 seconds, maximum speed — more than 300 km/h. The battery capacity is 120 kWh, the power reserve on a single charge is not indicated, for Pininfarina Battista it is 500 km on the WLTP cycle. Openwork forged wheels (20″ front and 21″ rear) with a central locking nut are designed specifically for this model. jpg» />
Pininfarina B95 costs more than twice as much as Battista — from 4.4 million euros without taking into account any special wishes, and customers of such products certainly have them are located.
