According to preliminary data, sales of the five-door will begin in Russia this fall. The model will be offered with a one and a half liter turbo engine.
The Moskvich 6 liftback opened in April, then pre-production samples were shown at various exhibitions, including the version for taxi companies. Well, today the Moscow Automobile Plant «Moskvich» (the former enterprise of Renault Russia) announced the start of mass production of five-doors. The solemn launch ceremony was attended by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, and the head of KAMAZ, Sergei Kogogin (KAMAZ is a technology partner of Moskvich), «live» pictures of the «sixes» were published by the press service of the Mayor and the Government of Moscow. Recall that the liftback became the second model of the revived brand: Moskvich 6 joined the Moskvich 3 crossover and its electric version.

As in the case of the SUV, another emblem was received by the car of the Chinese company JAC (“troika” is made from JAC JS4): Sehol Yao was taken as the basis for the five-door (JAC uses the Sehol brand only at home, and they are about to give it up there too) ), that is, one of the varieties of the JAC J7 model, which is still on the Russian market. The length of the Moskvich 6 liftback is 4770 mm, width — 1820 mm, height — 1492 mm, wheelbase — 2770 mm. Thus, in terms of its dimensions, the “six” is not far from the Skoda Octavia. The trunk volume of the new Moskvich is 540 liters.
