Kemi Badenoch ranks first in cabinet popularity in a poll of members of the Conservative Party who are responsible for choosing the next leader of the party.
A regular poll conducted by ConservativeHome gave the business secretary a net approval rating of + 59 percentage points. She was followed by Penny Mordaunt, leader of the House of Commons, and James Cleverley, foreign secretary.
Meanwhile, Rishi Sunak dropped almost to the bottom of the list, as it turned out that the surge in popularity that he received due to the fact that he managed to avoid defeat in the by-elections in Uxbridge and South Ruislip, has already come to naught.
