The Chinese brand model is offered in Russia in two versions. The starting recommended retail price is RUB 2,839,900.
In the home market, Omoda is one of the series of the «parent» brand Chery, while in some other markets, including Russia, Omoda is a separate brand. The C5 crossover, which we wrote about in more detail earlier, became its first-born in the Russian Federation, sales started in the fall of 2022. Sedan S5 joined him in the spring of this year. Now, local Omoda dealers have revealed that the lineup has been expanded with a sporty version of the S5 GT four-door.

The Russian office of the Chinese brand officially announced the start of sales of the «heated» version of the sedan, talked about the trim levels, and also published the price list. Note that the variant with the addition of GT to the name can be easily visually distinguished from the «regular» S5: the fact is that the models have a different front end.
Thus, the Omoda S5 GT received a different form of head optics with more “sharp” corners of the running lights, a different grille and front bumper (note that the “grill” of the sports version resembles a “spindle” grille that was previously used by the Lexus brand). The car is also adorned with black decorative elements, which are supported by the original 17-inch wheels of the same color, and orange brake calipers are visible behind them. The stern is almost the same, except for a different design of the lower part of the rear bumper.

In the new modification, the virtual tidy and the touchscreen of the infotainment system (each diagonal is 10.25 inches) are combined into one horizontal display. Below is a touch control unit for the air conditioning system. The seats are trimmed with eco-leather, are heated, the front ones are ventilated, as well as electrically adjustable (driver's seat in six directions, passenger seat in four). The interior is also distinguished by contrasting red-orange decorative inserts.

Omoda S5 GT is offered with one “filling” option — we are talking about a 1.6-liter turbo engine, the power of which in the Russian specification is “tax-friendly” 150 hp. (For comparison, in the recently declassified sports version for the Mexican market, the same engine produces 197 hp). Its maximum torque is 275 Nm, and a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two wet clutches is offered in pair. > 1/2

Recall that the “regular” Omoda S5 sedan is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a return of 147 hp. (210 Nm), which is paired with a stepless automatic. At the same time, such a car needs 9.7 seconds to accelerate from standstill to “hundreds”, while the new “charged” version performs this exercise in 7.5 seconds. The maximum speed is 190 km/h.

Sport version of Omoda S5 GT is offered in Russia in two versions, recommended retail the cost of the Neo starter version is 2,839,900 rubles. Such a car is equipped with ESP, light and rain sensors, a rear-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, four airbags (a pair of front and side), dual-zone climate control and a sunroof. Buying the second option — Ultra — will cost 2,939,900 rubles. The list of additional equipment includes: a set of all-round cameras, a built-in video recorder, security curtains, extended interior lighting and various driver's assistants. Note that the current price tag of Omoda S5 ranges from 2,319,900 to 2,629,900 rubles.
