Foreshadowing the official premiere of the car in Japan, Subaru made a statement that it would be an off-road version of the station wagon. However, the new Layback derivative in question is basically the same station wagon with a higher suspension and plastic body cladding. The new strut has increased ground clearance to 200 mm, or 55 mm more than before.
As journalists from SPEEDME.RU write, with a length of 4770 mm, a width of 1820 mm and a height of 1570 mm, it is 15 mm longer, 25 mm wider and 70 mm higher than the standard Levorg. Load capacity remains unchanged at 561 liters. The adventurous station wagon will delight customers with 18-inch wheels with 225/55 R18 all-season tires.
The car is driven by a 1.8-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with an output of 174 hp. and 300 Nm of torque transmitted to the Subaru Symmetrical AWD system using a Lineartronic CVT.
The 2024 Levorg Layback has acquired the next generation EyeSight system, equipped with a wide-angle camera as standard equipment. Customers are also rewarded with a Harman Kardon sound system, an 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital driver display. In addition, model owners can remotely control the air conditioning to pre-cool the car's interior via a smartphone application.
Depending on the automotive market, the Levorg is also offered with a larger 2.4-liter engine with turbocharged with an output of 256 hp, which works in tandem with a CVT, transmitting performance to both axles.
