The teasers lifted the veil of secrecy over one of the new things — the modified head optics of an American brand truck.
Ford launched production of the F-Series pickup trucks back in 1948, and the F-150 itself was introduced in 1975. Over the past years, the model has changed generations more than a dozen times. The full-size truck of the current fourteenth generation was presented in 2020, and now the American manufacturer is preparing to present an updated version of the F-150: the presentation will take place this week as part of the next international auto show in Detroit.
Teasers of the updated Ford F-150 pickup truck
Previously, prototypes of the future model had already been caught by spy photographers on public roads during tests. However, for now, Ford is keeping the appearance of the refreshed full-size pickup a secret. The manufacturer has so far only shared a teaser, which showed the updated F-150 moving through the sand.
Judging by the captured frames, the models will change their head optics. The updated Ford F-150 will have LED running lights stretched vertically, and inside these “brackets” there will be a pair of rectangles of the main headlights, located one above the other. These blocks will separate the large yellow direction indicators.
The model will still have a different design of the radiator grille depending on the version. The manufacturer also left the large pickup truck with the same shape of the rear lights, but they will most likely have a different design. The sidewalls of the Ford truck will probably remain unchanged.
It is known that the interior of the Ford F-150 will also receive its share of new things. It is assumed that changes await the digital instrument panel; In addition, the infotainment system's touchscreen will likely be larger than that of the current pickup truck. The update could also affect the list of equipment of the model.

The Ford F-150 has been the best-selling pickup truck in the States for 46 years. It did not lose its first place in 2022, despite an almost 10 percent decline. In total, over the past year, American dealers sold about 654 thousand copies, which allowed the model to once again become the best-selling car in the country. It has not yet been announced how the price of the truck will change after the update. The F-150 currently has a starting price of $33,835.
