The new Fiat 600 crossover received a simpler version

The Italian brand has revealed details about the hybrid SUV. The price has already been announced, but such a model will have to wait.

The world premiere of the new small crossover Fiat 600 took place in July. The model debuted as an electric car with the prefix “e” in its name, and such a compact is already available to Europeans. At the same time, as part of the presentation, the brand announced that the “six hundredth” will also be offered with a hybrid filling. So now the characteristics of the simpler version have been revealed.

Let us remind you that the Fiat 600 is built on the French CMP (Common Modular Platform), which also underlies the Jeep Avenger, DS 3, Peugeot 2008 and Opel Mokka SUVs. That is, the Fiat has McPherson struts in front and semi-independent suspension in the rear. The drive is exclusively front-wheel drive.

Fiat 600 Hybrid

The brand has so far distributed the only photo of the hybrid version, however, in terms of design, the Fiat 600 Hybrid is no different from the electric Fiat 600e, the dimensions are also the same (length — 4171 mm, wheelbase — 2562 mm). At the same time, the hybrid has a more spacious trunk: 385 liters versus 360 liters for the electric car.

The Fiat 600 Hybrid crossover received a new installation from the Stellantis concern, which is already used on Peugeot models. It consists of a 1.2 petrol turbo engine (100 hp) and a six-speed robot with two clutches; a 48-volt electric motor with a power of 28 hp is built into the box, which helps the internal combustion engine during starting, as well as at low speed. It is stated that the hybrid will reach the first “hundred” in 11 seconds, while the electric Fiat 600e with a 156-horsepower engine will do this exercise in 9 seconds.

The hybrid cross will be offered in two trim levels. The base model does not have a separate name, its equipment list has not yet been made public, Fiat only noted that this SUV has upholstery “made of recycled fabric with white inserts” and a matte black panel made of “bio-based plastic.” The second version is La Prima (the electric car also has one), its arsenal includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and lane keeping systems.

The Fiat 600 Hybrid will go on sale in 2024, in Italy the price has already been announced — from 24,950 euros (including incentives and promotions — from 19,950 Euro). The electric Fiat 600e also costs from 35,950 euros (including benefits — from 29,950 euros). Machine production is established in Poland.
