The Chinese SUV has been tweaked both in appearance and interior. The cross debuted in the “traditional” version with a 1.6 TGDI turbo engine; later a PHEV hybrid will appear on sale, and the latter version is expected to reach Russia.
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro crossover with an updated design, intended for export markets, appeared in the spring. Then the model was shown as a rechargeable hybrid, and it was believed that this appearance would be exclusive to the PHEV version. But no, today in Australia they opened orders for the “traditional” Tiggo 7 Pro with a similar appearance. By the way, the SUV will be only the second model of the brand on the Australian market after its “comeback”: Cherie left the Green Continent almost ten years ago, and returned this year with the Omoda 5 crossover, and now she’s launching the “seven”.

The cross, which in Russia is known under the name Tiggo 7 Pro Max, has undergone modifications (we also have “simply” Tiggo 7 Pro). The model received a new front bumper: instead of T-shaped LED lights, it features black glossy inserts with beveled thin stripes. The length of the Australian SUV is 4513 mm, width – 1862 mm, height – 1696 mm, wheelbase – 2670 mm. For comparison, the dimensions of the current Russian Max: 4500/1842/1705 mm, the distance between the axles is the same as that of the crossover for Australia.

Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is offered to Australians in three trim levels. The basic Urban has 18-inch wheels, LED optics, leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, the same display (combined instrument and multimedia screens, each 12.3 inches diagonal), panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone charger, rear view camera, adaptive cruise control, auto braking, lane keeping and blind spot monitoring systems. The Elite version adds all-round cameras and an electric tailgate. The top-end Tiggo 7 Pro Ultimate also includes 19-inch wheels, ventilated front seats, a memory function for driver's seat settings and an expanded set of driving modes.

As for the hybrid Tiggo 7 Pro, Chery’s Russian office previously announced plans to launch such a crossover to our market. They didn’t talk about the technology then, but, most likely, the SUV will repeat the older model Tiggo 8 Pro e+, which is already presented in the Russian Federation. In this case, the “seven” will receive a setup with a gasoline 1.5T and a pair of electric motors (one of them operates as a generator to charge the battery). Well, it is possible that later our “traditional” Tiggo 7 Pro Max will change in appearance in the same way as the hybrid and the version for Australia.
