According to preliminary data, the new SUV will premiere in October, and the model will probably hit the market next year. The crossover will be offered as a hybrid.
A week ago, Chery announced a large sedan under the A9 symbol — this is the first-born of a new electrified line, for which the Fengyun name has been revived. Let us remember that this was the name of the first production model of the brand, which debuted in 1999: it was, again, a four-door (aka A11, Fulwin and Windсloud), the “Chinese” was a copy of the Seat Toledo, and later it had an heir — well known to Russians Chery Amulet (A15). So now Chery has shown the second car of the new series — the large crossover Fengyun T11.

If the Fengyun A9 sedan looks like a production line model (or close to production), then the SUV, apparently, is still shown in concept status. In particular, the T11 has cameras instead of traditional mirrors, and the rear doors swing open against the direction of travel. Other exterior design features include head optics made in the form of a single die, a plug in the usual place for the grille (the radiator grille itself is located in the bumper), which in addition has luminous horizontal stripes. In addition, a lidar was installed on the roof.
By the way, the silhouette and proportions of Chery Fengyun T11 resemble Chery Tiggo 9, that is, it is possible that the “nine” will become a donor for the upcoming crossover.

It was officially announced that the new SUV will be a hybrid, but the manufacturer has not yet shared details about the filling. Local specialized media write that, like the Fengyun A9 sedan, the Fengyun T11 SUV may receive a C-DM (Chery Dual Mode) installation, which will include a gasoline turbo engine and a three-speed DHT gearbox.
It is expected that a full presentation of the new Fengyun series will take place in China at the end of October: obviously, then the A9 sedan and T11 crossover will be shown “live”. Hybrids should go on sale next year, and by the end of 2024, Chery plans to launch six models of the Fengyun line on the home market. The company has not yet announced any export plans.
