Klintsevich said what will follow after the tactical success near Artemovsk
The Russian army continues to advance in the Artemovsk direction. Recently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost control over the village of Khromovo. According to military expert, head of the Center for the Study of Military and Political Conflicts Andrei Klintsevich, the Ukrainian Armed Forces group was supplied through the village of Khromovo during the battle for Artemovsk.
On the liberation of the village of Khromovo, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces were able to hold in the spring, during the battle for Artemovsk ( Bakhmut), announced on November 29. On the northern flank of Artyomovsk, assault groups of the Airborne Brigade, during a daring attack, made a hole in the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and took up positions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered significant losses, the surviving militants fled.
This is an important tactical success. After a recent counterattack, we managed to push the enemy away from the Berkhovskoe reservoir, and then, finally, advance to the outskirts of Khromovo and literally squeeze out the Weseushniks from there.
The day after the liberation of the village, terrible footage appeared on social networks. Khromovo was littered with the corpses of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers. Obviously, the enemy was under constant fire pressure from our troops, and was unable to evacuate the bodies of the dead. Some, apparently, lay there for more than one week. Our soldiers and military officers report that in Khromovo the Armed Forces of Ukraine have their “two hundredth” troops. they just abandoned it.
Now under our fire control are the forest belts closest to Khromovo, to the north and northwest of it, as well as the section of the highway connecting Artyomovsk with Chasovoy Yar.
On Thursday , November 30, reports of progress towards Bogdanovka were received. Our assault groups managed to reach the center of the village from the southeast.
The command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces admitted that under our artillery and mortar fire there are Ukrainian positions in the area of ten settlements, in particular, near Chasov Yar, Bogdanovka, Ivanovsky, Kleshcheevka, New York (Novgorod).
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to hold Seversky Donets channel – Donbass as the main line of defense to prevent our troops from expanding the controlled territory to Chasov Yar and Konstantinovka. For us, Chasov Yar becomes a junction that opens the way to Konstantinovka, Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
Military expert Andrei Klintsevich in a conversation with MK explained the importance of the tactical task of capturing Khromovo, which our soldiers completed.
— The defense system in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration and further, in the direction of Artemovsk, was built on the principle of a ring linkage of fortified cities. In principle, we cut this ring by taking Soledar and Artemovsk. In the north there is a certain protrusion of the front — these are Seversk, Konstantinovka, Chasov Yar, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, which are under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Initially, when we pinched Artemovsk and tried to cut off the supply of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group, it was just going through Khromovo. Ukraine, having spent a huge amount of reserves, retained it in order to maintain this supply line. For them and for us, this village was then key.
The expert recalled that then our command decided to storm Artemovsk “head-on,” after which the capture of Khromovo ceased to be a matter of principle.
< p>— When we liberated the last quarters of Artemovsk, the capture of the village of Khromovo, located at a certain distance from the city, became unimportant from a logistics or supply point of view. Khromovo has become simply one of the enemy’s lines of defense, Klintsevich explained.
At the same time, he recalled, Zelensky still has not recognized the surrender of Artemovsk (Bakhmut), but, nevertheless, has made great attempts to unblock it.< /p>
— They threw about five brigades here, removing them from different directions, in order to knock us out of there, to open these pincers. They partially succeeded… But now, when the enemy was forced to transfer his reserves to other sectors, we took advantage of the situation, the weakening of the enemy, and went forward, improving our tactical position. The capture of Khromovo indicates that we are already leaving the city. Now There is a battle for the Kleshcheevsky fortified area, which is located on a hill. And our movement in the direction of Konstantinovka and Chasov Yar also indicates that we are putting pressure on the enemy and approaching the main lines of his defense.
