David de Gea open to Newcastle move after Nick Pope injury

David de Gea is open to a move to Newcastle United if Eddie Howe decides to choose another goalkeeper after losing Nick Pope.

Pope faces four to five months out after serious injury shoulder injury in Newcastle's impressive 1-0 win over Manchester United at St James' Park on Saturday.

Howe is believed to be willing to give Martin Dubravka, Pope's understudy who spent part of last season on loan at Old Trafford, a chance to prove his worth in the coming weeks.
