UFA, December 27. A sixteen-year-old teenager, handcuffed by his mother's ex-husband, was able to escape from the attacker and sought the police at night to free his mother.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Bashkiria reports that on the night of December 24, the police duty station in the city of Sterlitamak received a report that an unknown man entered the apartment of a 36-year-old local resident, beat her, and also held her son, chaining her in handcuffs.
Law enforcement officers found out that on the evening of December 23, a 42-year-old resident of the Sterlitamak district entered the apartment of his ex-wife, where the woman’s 16-year-old son was. “The man handcuffed the teenager’s hands and waited for his mother to return. When the woman entered the house, he inflicted bodily harm on her. At this time, the teenager in handcuffs was able to escape and get to the house where his friends lived. From there, a call was made to the police about the crime committed. The arriving police officer found the body of a woman with stab wounds in the apartment,» the press service said in a release.
The man was detained. Investigative authorities opened a criminal case against him for murder.

USC of the Russian Federation for Bashkiria reports that the man also threatened the teenager with a pistol. “The detainee was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention. Investigators continue to collect and record evidence. Based on the fact of illegal entry into the home and the commission of illegal actions against a minor, the actions of the accused will also be given a legal assessment,” added the regional Investigative Committee.
The Bashkir police published a video recorded by street surveillance cameras on their Telegram channel. They show how a boy, handcuffed, quickly runs through the streets of the city in search of help.
