Important, disturbing and funny news of the week
“We must at all costs prevent the emergence of a world in which might prevails over right, where strong countries change borders at their discretion, and weak ones become victims of the strong.» While you're thinking about who so clearly expressed the essence of Russia's actions (hint: not Putin), you can talk about some of the events of the past week.
Throughout the week, Zaluzhny was fired in Ukraine. True leaks, false leaks — the press used its entire arsenal, talking about the confrontation between the commander-in-chief and the president. In my opinion, you can believe two things from all this.
Firstly, the message that the United States was informed of Zelensky’s decision to remove Zaluzhny. And there they were not so happy about this that Nuland galloped to Kyiv like a scalded person — to resolve the situation, restore control, and prevent (this is the irony) the Maidan. It’s just that the hegemon’s administration has not yet decided which of the two puppets is more profitable for it, but the very untimeliness of the squabble in Ukraine and the excessive initiative of the “Ukrainian politicians” irritates the owners.
Secondly, you can believe that Zelensky wants to blame Zaluzhny for all the failures at the front and the cherry on top is the destruction of the Il-76 with Ukrainian prisoners. No one except Putin even mentions an international investigation (and how they shouted, how they shouted), because everything is obvious. And even the Western press (French) directly writes that they shot down from the American Patriot complex.
But they fired and fired, but they haven’t fired yet. Let's see whose will take it. Although this is not too important — their chaos is only a plus for us. It’s just that this battle between a toad and a viper can still become the starting point for the collapse of the Kyiv regime. Well, according to the standard: “Dress warmly, take tea, coffee, good mood, meet at the Independence Monument” — that’s all.
Well, if it doesn’t become a starting point, then… Putin, meeting with trusted officials this week, again explained: the demilitarized zone in Ukraine should be at a distance that would ensure the safety of peaceful cities from shelling. Again he offered the West a choice — either Ukraine remains, but demilitarized, or there will be no Ukraine at all. This simple logic could work if the United States really cared about the fate of Ukraine and its population. But as long as the United States has a positive balance — Europe is weakening economically, falling into complete dependence on the New World, and the Slavs are killing each other — hostilities will continue.
However, the world gendarme is also weakening. Again, at the same meeting, Putin said one more phrase: historical Russia has risen and is forced to defend its interests, including through armed struggle. The world saw that the hegemon could be challenged, that it was possible to fight an order “in which might prevails over right, where strong countries change borders at their discretion, and the weak become victims of the strong.” After all, this is precisely why the Middle East flared up. Now the United States is striking at Iranian proxies in the territories of Iraq and Syria, and striking at Yemen. Biden, as the American press writes, has a huge chance at the end of his presidential term to drag America into another war. It's expensive, but they love money. This week, the American Congress is preparing to approve military aid to Israel, but again not a word about Ukraine (which causes wild indignation in Kyiv). Add to this the US's own war against Iran and do not forget that China must be restrained from taking «decisive steps» in Taiwan.
But what are we all about the global? Let's get back to our sheep. For example, the group «Bi-2». All week they were rescued from Thai dungeons, where they ended up due to their own clubbed hands and stupidity — the organizers of the tour did not fill out the documents correctly. The Russian consul even went to them — after all, they are Russian citizens, maybe they can help in any way they need? But in vain he did this. Because it turned out that the Kremlin is asleep and sees how to get the Bi-2 group into Russia and immediately send it to the uranium mines, or even hang it on Red Square. This was reported by Relocant and simply liberal publications with alarm in their voices, breathiness and complete seriousness. In general, delusions of grandeur, multiplied by delusions of persecution, are playing a bad joke on our escaped “creative intelligentsia.” In this case, it turned out to be a clownery, in the arena of Lev and Shura.
And writers (Ulitskaya and Weller distinguished themselves this week), blinded by vanity, in conversations with supposedly Ukrainian politicians (Vovan and Lexus) speak such Russophobic heresy that here, in Russia, their publishers and booksellers put their creations away out of harm’s way. And I will now play the devil’s advocate: this is a violation of contract, since there are no court decisions and they are not even foreign agents. This is probably an illustration of the process that Putin again spoke about: the situation around the Northern Military District shows that Russian society has a solid foundation, and the “foam” is gradually being washed away.
But it was precisely the “foam” that implanted all post-Soviet years of narrative about the inferiority and lack of self-sufficiency of Russians. It should be noted, not without success. “The Pindostan-centric world order” (D. Medvedev) is firmly ingrained in our brains. It will be difficult to get rid of it and start believing in yourself.
But it will be necessary if we do not want to live in a world where “the weak become victims of the strong.” The quote in the first paragraph is the words spoken this week by the Russophobe Borrell. He was talking about Europe, not about Russia. So think about it.
