Residents of Turkey will be among the first to receive the fresh crossover; sales there will start in the second quarter.
Under the Romanian brand Dacia, the third-generation Duster cross-country vehicle on the CMF-B platform debuted at the end of November last year, and in early December the appearance of the model under the Renault brand was revealed. Now the interior of the new SUV itself has been declassified, and in addition, details about the technology have appeared. Let us remind you that the Dacia Duster intended for Europe is made in Romania, but the main production site for the Renault Duster will be the Turkish plant. By the way, in Turkey the previous crossover was presented under the Dacia brand, but the new one will be sold there as a Renault.

Inside, the Renault Duster repeated its Romanian brother almost word for word, not counting, of course, the emblem on the steering wheel: even the “Greeks” that have become Dacia’s signature were retained. Expensive trim levels come with a 7-inch virtual instrument panel and a multimedia system with a 10.1-inch diagonal touchscreen that rises above the front panel. The tablet itself and the center console are turned towards the driver. There are no images of the interior of the simpler versions yet, however, like the Dacia model, the basic Turkish Renault Duster will probably have analog instruments and a simple radio.

As for the exterior design, the Renault crossover is distinguished by the design of the front part: it has a different radiator grille, on which, instead of the usual diamond shape, there is a large inscription with the name of the brand. The dimensions of the cars are probably the same: the length of the “third” Dacia Duster is 4343 mm, the wheelbase is 2657 mm.

The technology is the same as that of the Dacia cross. In Turkey, the new Renault Duster will be offered with a three-cylinder 1.0 TCe LPG engine (100 hp), which runs on gasoline and propane. It will also be possible to purchase a “mild hybrid” crossover with a 1.2 TCe petrol turbo engine (130 hp) and a 48-volt starter-generator, and only for this modification is all-wheel drive available. And at the top of the range is the E-Tech hybrid with an installation that includes a 1.6 four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, the total output of this Duster is 140 hp. Diesels for the Turkish SUV are not announced — as well as for the European version.

In Turkey, the start of sales of the new generation Renault Duster is scheduled for the second quarter of this year. Meanwhile, in South America the cross of the previous generation will be delayed: there such a Duster has just undergone restyling.
