Luxury SUV Tank 800: production version revealed

The new flagship all-terrain vehicle will hit the home market this year. Most likely, in its homeland the model will be available with a hybrid installation.

The Tank 800 SUV debuted as a concept back in 2021. A year later, the first test prototypes began to be caught in China, and in 2023, a disguised “800th” in a production body was caught there. So now the appearance of the commercial SUV has been completely declassified: patent images of the model have been posted online. Well, let’s add that the future all-terrain vehicle is assigned the role of the brand’s flagship.

Judging by the pictures, the front conveyor Tank 800 will generally repeat its harbinger. The main features are almost square headlight housings, an impressive radiator grille with vertical slats and a sculpted hood. The stern will be redone: the additional sections of lights located on top will have a more strict shape, and in addition the bumper will be retouched. The length of the Tank 800 is expected to be approximately 5.2 meters.

There are no images of the interior of the production SUV yet. Probably, separate screens for the instrument panel and multimedia system, as well as expensive finishing materials, will be left inside. By the way, the concept has a four-seater cabin — a massive tunnel with a remote control is installed between the rear seats. But it is not yet known whether such a modification will be put on the conveyor.

Of course, the Tank 800 will have a frame structure and all-wheel drive. Local specialized media are still tipping the model to have air springs and adaptive shock absorbers. According to preliminary data, in China the all-terrain vehicle will be offered with a Hi4-T hybrid installation based on a V6 3.0 petrol turbo engine. The Tank 700 has a similar technology; the total output of this SUV is 523 hp. and 850 Nm.

The Tank 800 should enter the Chinese market before the end of this year.

Meanwhile, earlier the head of the Russian division of Tank said in an interview with Kolesa.ru that we also plan to expand the model range. True, specific dates and models are still unknown.
