Dongfeng ix5 and ix7 crossovers now have Russian price tags

Models of the Chinese brand have local registration: their production was established at the facilities of the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant. Cars are already available at dealerships.

The Motorinvest company is the official distributor of the Dongfeng line of passenger cars in the Russian Federation. The announcement of two new products of the DFSK family with local registration — the cross-coupe Dongfeng ix5 and the large all-wheel drive Dongfeng ix7 — was published at the end of last month. Let us remind you that DFSK stands for Dongfeng Sokon, it is a joint venture between Dongfeng Motor Corporation and the Seres group, which produces cars, motorcycles, auto components and household appliances (by the way, this joint venture also owns the Fengon brand, under which these models are also presented).

It is known that the assembly of the Dongfeng ix5 and ix7 crossovers has been established at the facilities of the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant. Now the cars have already reached dealers, and now Motorinvest has announced their Russian price tags. The Dongfeng ix5 SUV with a coupe-like body initially entered the Russian market in the mid-range Premium configuration; the purchase will cost 2,990,000 rubles. In turn, Dongfeng ix7 at the start of sales is available in a rich Journey version, the cost is 3,990,000 rubles.

As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, the DFSK ix5 cross-coupe is larger compared to the Renault Arkana coupe-like SUV previously produced in the Russian Federation. Thus, the length of the SUV of the Chinese brand stretches by 4685 mm (140 mm more), and its wheelbase is 2790 mm (69 mm more). Ground clearance is 200 mm.

The Chinese ix5 crossover on the Russian market is offered with a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine, its output is 137 hp and the maximum torque is 220 Nm. It works in tandem with a non-alternative continuously variable automatic transmission. This SUV can only have front-wheel drive.

The list of equipment of the Dongfeng ix5 in the Premium configuration includes: four airbags, ESP, a panoramic roof with a sliding sunroof, 18-inch wheels, an infotainment system with a 10.25-inch diagonal touchscreen, electric front seats with heating, an electric tailgate , climate control, as well as a keyless entry function and a set of “warm options”.

The large seven-seater crossover Dongfeng ix7 is comparable in size to the Hyundai Palisade, which is currently not officially presented in Russia. The length of the “Chinese” is 4930 mm (50 mm less than the SUV of the Korean brand), and the distance between its axles is 2810 mm (90 mm less). The ix7's trunk volume ranges from 375 to 2,215 liters (with the second and third row seats folded).

In the Russian Federation, this Chinese crossover is offered with a gasoline 2.0-liter turbo engine that produces 231 hp. and 355 Nm of torque. It is paired only with a six-speed automatic transmission, and the drive can only be all-wheel drive.

The DFSK ix7 is currently sold only in the top-end Journey configuration, its equipment includes: six airbags, 20-inch wheels, a head-up display, front seats with heating, ventilation and memory settings, dual-zone climate control, adaptive LED headlights, adaptive cruise control and various electronic assistants.
