With less than a month until the start of the Formula 1 season in Bahrain, the flow of new cars is already in full swing, with nine of the 10 teams already presenting their 2024 contenders. Mercedes and McLaren are the latest teams to lift their covers.
After last year's grid looked relatively similar (the main three colors being red, blue and carbon/black), there are at least some changes this year. On Thursday, Red Bull became the 10th and final team to unveil its car.
Named in honor of Red Bull Racing's 20th anniversary in Formula 1. The livery retains a familiar look and Red Bull will be hoping for the same when it comes to performance after its unprecedented dominance in 2023. Here's the car that Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez will drive this year:

Mercedes has been switching between black and silver paint schemes for the past few years, but this year they have combined them in their new car. Last year the team failed to win a single race, and in 2022 it won just once. The car will hit the track for the first time on its launch day, February 14, at Silverstone.

“Much attention has been paid to improving the unpredictable rear axle of the previous car,” said James Allison, the team’s technical director. “We worked hard to ensure that both axles, especially the rear, maintain better tire control than on the W14. We have also made some adjustments in areas where we have room for improvement, including the effect of DRS and pit stop performance.»
“In the current generation of cars, much of the performance depends on how the floor interacts with the road. Whether a car is efficient or not depends on how well that floor is allowed to behave aerodynamically.
“We feel we had a good winter, but Formula 1 is a relative game and only time will tell how we did a big step,” he added.
Ferrari SF-24
Of course, the new Ferrari car is red, but it also contains several other colors associated with the team: yellow, white and black. This year the halo is red and the wheel covers are mostly red. Thankfully there isn't too much exposed carbon fiber as has become commonplace. Yes, there are some elements in the rear of the car, but they are done tastefully.

Whether it will be faster than last year's car remains to be seen. Team principal Frédéric Vasseur stated that the team needed to act «more quickly and efficiently», while team technical director Enrico Cardil said that «every part of the car has been redesigned» and that they want to «create a completely new platform» with the SF. -24.

Earlier this year, McLaren unveiled the MCL38 livery, but now they've shown the world their new car in all its glory.

Team principal Andrea Stella said: “This year we hope to build on the momentum of last season, but are realistic that each team will make progress and find competitiveness for their 2024 cars. We now have everything we need in terms of infrastructure, people and culture, so we continue to move forward and build on the work that has been done to bring us back to the forefront.»
Lando Norris, who has scored seven podium points in the last 13 rounds in 2023, said: “The real test of our progress will come when we test the car ahead of qualifying and racing at the Bahrain Grand Prix.”

The car, which features slightly more exposed carbon fiber than last year, was tested at Silverstone on the same day. Team principal Mike Krak said: “Almost every part of the car has been tweaked and improved, building on our strengths and taking into account lessons from the previous campaign. Our goal this season is to score regular points, get on the podium and fight for our first victory on the green.”

After McLaren pulled itself together, Alpine had no chance of finishing anywhere other than sixth. in 2023. They finished the year 160 points behind Aston Martin but 92 points ahead of Williams.

Its paint job on the 2024 car is a prime example of «carbon fiber creep.» Pink and blue are almost still present, but black is now the predominant color.

Williams is a team whose main goal is to build on their strengths from last year and close the gap on Alpine or whoever is above them. Their livery, if not the car itself, is very similar to the one they had in 2023. The air compartment for the Duracell battery remains.

Formerly AlphaTauri (and before that Toro Rosso), Red Bull's newest subsidiary team has a name that is unlikely to please or excite Formula One purists. And the chassis name isn't much better.

Their livery is almost a return to the 2019 Toro Rosso colors, with the shade of white that characterized the AlphaTauri days. At least they didn't go overboard with the exposed carbon fiber. In fact, there is very little of it. They finished last year well after a slow start and with the signing of Daniel Ricciardo they hope to continue that trend.
Sauber C44
The Sauber team was rebranded from the 2019-2023 version of Alfa Romeo before becoming an Audi team again in 2026. The official name is a bit annoying (Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber), but the livery is different and striking. least.

Yes, a lot of black, but also a lot of daytime green. It won't be difficult to miss on the net.

This is a big year for Haas, the first year without former team boss Guenther Steiner. The initial liveries of the rendered Formula 1 cars were mostly in their usual colors of red, white and black before the race took place at Silverstone last weekend.
Haas hopes to improve on his last place finish this season
