The refreshed cross-hatchback of the Korean brand will go on sale in the home market this month, and in other countries the new product will appear in world markets later in 2024.
Hyundai introduced the Ioniq 5 in February 2021, in 2022 the model underwent technical modernization, and in the summer of 2023 the top sports version debuted, with the letter N added to its name. Now the Korean company has prepared a restyled version of the “regular” all-electric cross-hatchback, which has received several important updates.

The refreshed five-door received several visual differences from the pre-reform version. Thus, during the restyling, the Ioniq 5 acquired revised front and rear bumpers. At the front, the air intake was designed differently and became more voluminous. The larger rear bumper is designed in a similar way. In general, the overall length of the model has increased by 20 mm to 4655 mm.
The cross-hatch was also equipped with a new set of alloy wheels of an original design, a spoiler on the top of the tailgate that had grown by 50 mm, as well as a rear windshield wiper (based on numerous requests from the brand’s customers): the “wiper”, by the way, also appeared on the Ioniq 5 N, and now he has reached the “regular” version.
During the restyling, the model received a “sportier” version of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Line: it is distinguished by a different body kit in the style of the top version, with light plastic linings, modified side skirts, as well as new 20-inch alloy wheels. The interior of the N Line variant is distinguished by a different steering wheel, sports seats, metal pedals, black headliner, red stitching and trim that indicates that it belongs to the version.

In general, the interior of the updated Ioniq 5 now has a block of physical buttons on the front panel, responsible, for example, for heating and ventilating seats, as well as heating the steering wheel and activating the parking assistant (in the pre-reform version they are “built into” the infotainment system) . In addition, the steering wheel was equipped with “pixel lighting”, and the panel for wireless charging of smartphones was moved, now it is located higher. The cross-hatchback also received a built-in video recorder.
One of the main updates is the new traction battery, which was inherited from the “regular” model from the top version of the Ioniq 5 N presented last summer. The capacity of this battery is 84 kWh (the predecessor had 77.4 kWh). How much the maximum power reserve will increase will become known later. Let us remind you that for the pre-reform version the figure is 507 km (according to the WLTP cycle). The models also retained the “junior” battery – 58 kWh.

The rest of the “filling” remained unchanged. The basic version has a single electric motor installed on the rear axle, its output is 170 hp and the maximum torque is 350 Nm. In the all-wheel drive version with a less capacious battery, the total output of the dual-motor unit is 235 hp. (605 Nm). The rear-wheel drive cross-hatchback with a “senior” battery has a power of 217 hp. (350 Nm), the version with electric motors on both axles has 306 hp. (605 Nm).
It is known that in the domestic market sales of the refreshed Hyundai Ioniq 5 will begin in March 2024; The new product will reach other countries later this year.
