Externally and internally, the frame SUV has been updated based on the model of its sister S10 pickup. In addition, the turbodiesel has been modernized, and the six-speed automatic has been replaced by an eight-speed one.
For several years now, the Chevrolet range has included two different models with the name Trailblazer: in the USA, Canada and Korea they sell a compact SUV with a monocoque body (the crossover was also presented in China, but was later abandoned there), and in Latin America this name wears a frame all-terrain vehicle. The frame is produced in Brazil, it has been in the current generation since 2012, but the brand is in no hurry to release the next generation — this Trailblazer has undergone another restyling (the previous one was carried out in 2020). The Brazilian division announced the updated SUV in mid-April, but now the model has been completely declassified.

From the front, the Chevrolet Trailblazer replicates the modernized sister pickup Chevrolet S10, which debuted earlier this month. If we compare it with the pre-reform SUV, then the headlights, bumper, radiator grille, hood and front fenders are different. The stern is the same, except that the lights have darkened. By the way, local specialized media write that the SUV is now available in a single top-end configuration, which has a new name — High Country (previously, the richest version was called Premier).

Inside, the passenger all-terrain vehicle also copied the pickup truck, there is a similar new front panel and steering wheel (it is adjustable not only in height, but also in reach), plus a virtual tidy (8 inches), to the body of which is attached an 11-inch tablet of the new multimedia system (themselves devices are recessed). There is only one engine — a modernized 2.8 Duramax turbodiesel (the Chevrolet S10 pickup is equipped with the same engine). Output increased from 200 hp. and 500 Nm up to 207 hp. and 510 Nm. And instead of a six-speed automatic, the all-wheel drive SUV now has an eight-speed. In addition, the steering and suspension have been retuned. Chevy claims that the restyled Trailblazer will reach the first “hundred” in 9.5 seconds – this is 1 second less than required for the pre-reform SUV.

Chevrolet Trailblazer High Country was estimated at 368,550 reais, which is equivalent to approximately 6,647,000 rubles at the current exchange rate. “Live” sales of the updated SUV will start in Brazil in mid-May.
Meanwhile, the restyled Trailblazer became the third premiere of the Brazilian division of the brand this year: in addition to the mentioned S10 pickup truck, the transformed Spin compact van also entered the local market . By the end of 2024, Brazilians will be presented with three more new Chevrolet products, but there are no official details about them yet.
