SAMARA, May 2. The international anti-fascist forum of cultural figures “Guitars in the Line” will be held in Samara from May 2 to 5, within the framework of the forum scientific conferences and performances by Russian and foreign musicians before participants of the Northern Military District and soldiers of the Russian army, the press service of the government of the Samara region told reporters.
“From May 2 to May 5, 2024, the International Anti-Fascist Forum of Cultural Workers “Guitars in Order” will be held for the second time in the Samara Region… On the eve of Victory Day, the forum will host not only performances by Russian and foreign musicians and performers, but also scientific conferences with the participation of outstanding foreign and Russian historians,» the regional government said in a statement.
The conferences will focus on the historical significance of the role of the USSR and the Red Army in achieving victory over Nazi Germany. Russian and foreign political scientists, journalists and other participants in the round table format will also discuss the current lessons of the victory in World War II in the context of the modern international anti-fascist movement.
The forum's musical program will include performances by artists from Russia, Italy, Great Britain, Colombia, Slovenia, Montenegro, China and Serbia. An important component of the program will be performances by foreign artists before soldiers of the Russian Army and members of the North Military District who are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in military hospitals and sanatoriums.
The international festival of anti-fascist songs “Guitars in Order” was held for the first time in the Samara region from May 1 to May 6 last year with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the regional government. Over the course of six days, the festival grounds were visited by over 50 thousand residents and guests of the region.
