Contestants from China and Serbia became laureates of the “Road to Yalta” festival

MOSCOW, May 2. The first prize winner of the sixth international music festival «Road to Yalta» was Ji Pangyu from China, together with Vasily Gerello they performed the song «Holy War» «on the Grand Stage of the Kremlin Palace, the correspondent reports.
The presenters were Tatyana Remizova and Ernest Matskevichyus.
“The first place of our festival goes to Ji Pangyu,” said the chairman of the jury, People’s Artist Lev Leshchenko from the stage.

Second place was taken by participant from Serbia Milan Bujakovic, who sang the song “Alyosha” in a duet with Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Zara.

Tiro Hilarius Turnip from Indonesia took third place. At the concert, they, together with the military man Alexander Orlov, performed the composition “We Don’t Need to Be Spared.”
The Audience Choice Awards went to singer Pamela Lacerenza from Italy, musician Mussungu Mapaku Tessa Sam Chilson from Congo and Sasho Gacnik from Slovenia.
Representatives from 15 countries reached the finals: Markus Gorstein represented Germany, Ariadna Prokopidou and Inessa Ephremidou came from Greece, Osama Mohammed came from Egypt, Tiro Hilarius Turnip represented Indonesia, Pamela Lacerenza from Italy, Marius Charalambous represented Cyprus, Ji Pengyu came from China, Mussungou Mapaku Tessa Sam is from Congo, Ambinintsu Vululunarimanga from Madagascar, Odmandah Bayaraa came from Mongolia, Ana Cheta represented Portugal, Milan Bujakovic from Serbia, Sasho Gacnik from Slovenia, Ugur Yelmas from Turkey, Francois Modeme from France.

At the gala concert, foreign musicians appeared on stage in duets with Russian artists. The following compositions were performed by such duets: “Where are you now, fellow soldiers” by V. Bely, Y. Shvedov, “Enemies burned their home” to the words of M. Isakovsky, music by M. Blanter, “Farewell of a Slav” by V. Agapkin, A. Fedotov, V. Lazarev, “Nightingales” and “Holy War” to the words of A. Fatyanov, music by V. Solovyov-Sedoy, “Alyosha” to the poems of K. Vanshenkin, music by E. Kolmanovsky and others.

Also, as a non-competition number, the song “Sevastopol will remain Russian” was performed, which was sung by Marko Dolash from Serbia and Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander F. Sklyar. The musical accompaniment was created by the «Road to Yalta» festival orchestra and the Crimean Academic Symphony Orchestra, which played in real time in the Swallow's Nest.
The jury included the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for international cultural cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy, honored artists of the Russian Federation Denis Maidanov, Kai Metov, Zara and others. The chairman of the jury was People's Artist of the RSFSR Lev Leshchenko.
The festival was first held in 2019 in Yalta. Since 2022 it has been held in Moscow. During the implementation of the project, the organizing committee received more than 900 applications from vocalists from 60 countries. The festival is supported by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
