MOSCOW , May 8. Capital engineers will be able to get acquainted with the processes of production and operation of UAVs at courses launched by the Moscow Technical School, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport Affairs Maxim Liksutov.
Five new courses were developed by ITS jointly with the Financial University. These include “Development of unmanned aircraft systems”, “Operation of unmanned aircraft systems”, “UAS programming: artificial intelligence”, “Production of unmanned aircraft systems” and “Training of instructors in the field of development, production and operation of unmanned aircraft systems”.
“On behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, projects for the development of unmanned transport are being implemented in the city, conditions are being created for the formation of a scientific and production base, as well as the introduction of innovations in the capital’s Transport complex. For example, in the Rudnevo industrial park there is a Federal UAS Center, which brings together advanced developers of high-tech products in the field of unmanned aviation. Also, as part of the educational project «Moscow Technical School», employees of industrial enterprises in the capital can increase the level of professional competencies in the field of unmanned transport. «MTSh» together with the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation have opened five new programs within the module.» ,” Liksutov was quoted as saying by the press service of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy (DIPP).
Course participants will be able to master the principles of designing UAS and electronic equipment, programming devices, in particular, using AI. In addition, they will gain skills in piloting and equipment maintenance.
As noted by the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the DIPP Vladislav Ovchinsky, today the labor market is in great demand for specialists with skills in manufacturing, programming and operating UAS.
“Within the framework of the Moscow Technical School project, we are increasing the human resources potential of the capital’s industrialists — we hold conferences, master classes, and also develop and open new courses,” he explained.
Previously, the mayor of Moscow noted that for implementation in production Modern technologies require new engineering personnel. To help industry solve the issue of employee shortages, in 2021 the Moscow government, together with leading technical universities and companies, created the Moscow Technical School project. It is designed to improve the skills of engineers in working with innovative technologies that develop the industrial potential of the capital and optimize production processes.
Today, within the framework of the project, nine general directions, as well as four special ones, are open to employees of capital enterprises. There are about 160 courses available to them. In addition to training programs, participants are offered webinars, conferences, master classes and other events. Since its launch, over 2.2 thousand engineers have been trained at ITS.
