The case of General Kuznetsov of the Ministry of Defense was carried out at several addresses at once

During the criminal investigation against Lieutenant General Yuri Kuznetsov, head of the main personnel department of the Russian Ministry of Defense, searches were carried out at several addresses where he allegedly received bribes in the form of real estate. This information was reported to TASS law enforcement agencies.

A source from law enforcement agencies confirmed: “For several days, searches were carried out at various addresses associated with Lieutenant General Yuri Kuznetsov, head of the main personnel department of the Russian Ministry of Defense.” These searches took place both in Moscow and in the Krasnodar Territory.

According to the investigation, in the period from 2021 to 2023, Kuznetsov, while serving as head of the 8th Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, allegedly accepted bribes from representatives of commercial organizations for performing certain actions in their favor. From 2010 to 2023, he held a leadership position in the department responsible for protecting state secrets within the Ministry of Defense.

Currently, a criminal case has been opened against Kuznetsov under an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on receiving a bribe on an especially large scale. He was arrested by a military court on the evening of May 13. Also in this case, the Basmanny Court of Moscow sent Lev Martirosyan, the alleged briber, into custody.
