In the new generation, the SUV has grown noticeably. The model is available both with an internal combustion engine and with a hybrid installation. At the same time, all-wheel drive is provided exclusively for the gas-electric version.
The second generation BAIC Beijing BJ30 crossover was revealed in certification photos back in the fall of 2023. The model made its public premiere in April of this year at the Beijing Motor Show, and at the same time pre-orders were opened in China. Well, now the exact price list has been published in our homeland and “live” sales have started. Let us remember that the previous SUV has been in service since 2020, and it was not the original model: the BJ30 index was assigned to the BJ20 SUV, which underwent a large-scale restyling (“twenty” debuted in 2015).

The crossover had a brutal appearance before, but in the new generation it was refined. But in general, the “second” Beijing BJ30 is made according to the recipe of the Haval Dargo and Jetour T2 (in China these are the Haval DaGou and Jetour Traveler): it has an “off-road” design, although it is an ordinary SUV with a monocoque body.
